9-1-1 Blitz Build with Habitat for Humanity
On Friday September 23rd, ten members from our Central region joined Toronto area police, fire and EMS workers to help complete a Habitat for Humanity 8 day Blitz Build and build 2 homes for deserving area families.
Even though the weather wasn’t cooperating and it poured down rain, spirits stayed high. Our teams helped lay sod, put in flooring, sweep, shovel gravel and everything else that was asked of us. Everyone pulled together and work went on through the downpour, because the following day the two deserving families were receiving the keys to their brand new homes.
We are proud to have been able to with an organization as admirable as Habitat for Humanity and to use our knowhow to be able to contribute to our community in a meaningful manner. Thank you to everyone who was involved.
